Geri Susanto was born in Kiabu Island, the farthest inhabitant island in Anambas. He came from a simple family. His father worked as a fisherman who went fishing every day as a means to fulfill family needs. Coming from a simple upbringing, he learned to appreciate the hard work that his parents did in order to send him to school.
In 2010, he graduated from Madrasah Aliyah School and continued his education at one of the state universities in Tanjung Pinang. He took Sociology to learn about community life and social interaction. His dream is to develop the village by changing the mindset of the people who are not yet used to accepting new ideas and changes.
As a village facilitator at BAF he is responsible for monitoring the Digital English Club (DEC) programme and Integrated Waste Management (IWM).
